Instructions

    • 1

Park your EZ Go cart on a level and flat surface before trying to diagnose any problems. Hard surfaces such as driveways or carports are the best choice for diagnosing problems.

    • 2

Use a pressure gauge to check the tire pressure on all four of the cart's tires. Refer to the tire manufacturer for the proper amount of pressure that should be in your tires. Use a tire pump or an air compressor to get your tires to the proper pressure.

    • 3

Remove the seat from your cart to access the battery compartment. Look over the battery terminals for any corrosion or a loose terminal connection. Use a pair of pliers to loosen the battery terminals from the battery. Use a can of soda and a wire brush to scrub the terminals. This will remove the corrosion.

    • 4

Use your pliers to tighten the battery terminal connections. If the terminals are not tight, the battery will not be able to power the cart. Remove the water fill caps from the battery. These are located on the sides of the battery. Fill the battery cells to the “fill line” on the side of the battery.

    • 5

Open the hood to the cart and inspect the belts connected to the motor. If the belts are cracked or broken, you will not be able to get the maximum power from the cart. Have a technician replace the belts because a technician will have the special tools needed to install the belts.

    • 6

Charge the battery over night through the charging cable that came with your cart. Inspect the charging cable to make sure there are no breaks or frays in the wiring. Replace the charging cable if needed.
