Mini Golf Places in Texas

Miniature golf is an adolescent version of the traditional sport.. Golfers require only one club -- a putter -- as they navigate colorful obstacles and themed structures at par 2s and par 3s. Texas is home to more than 70 mini golf courses all over the state. Many of the courses offer other activities, including arcades, bumper cars and drag racing, making them ideal locations for families, teens and young adults. Most courses are located outdoors, so dress appropriate for the weather.

  1. Embassy Miniature Golf

    • The Embassy Miniature Golf features Puttunia, an 18-foot-tall giraffe statue that has graced the establishment for more than 40 years. In addition to mini golf, the course offers a full-service snack bar and "Water Wars," where participants can engage in water balloon fights. The course is located in San Antonio, about 7 miles from the center of the city, and is designed in standard 18-hole fashion with obstacles and varying degrees of difficulty.

    Bob O's Family Fun Center

    • Bob O's Family Fun Center is located in El Paso, just 5 miles from the center of the city. It offers an array of activities, including 18 holes of miniature golf, bumper boats, miniature go-karts, batting cages, indoor arcade games and a miniature train. They also have a full-service snack bar and lounge.

    Mountasia Family Fun Center

    • The Mountasia Family Fun Center is located in North Richland Hills, just outside of Fort Worth. Family-oriented activities include 18 holes of miniature golf, go-kart racing, batting cages, bumper boats, rock wall, indoor arcade games and a snack bar. It offers family and group rates for parties and events, as well as discounts on certain holidays.

    Ellen's Amusement Center

    • Ellen's Amusement Center is located in Cedar Hill, just outside Arlington. It offers 18 holes of miniature golf, along with batting cages, go-karts, paintball, indoor arcade games and a full-service snack bar. In operation for more than 20 years, the center offers group rates for parties and events.
