Golf Instruction for Left-Handers

Golf is game that is equally relaxing and fun. It is a game that is enjoyed by people of all ages all over the world. The game can be difficult to understand and get the hang of at first but as with anything the more one practices the better one becomes. However, due to the difficulty of purchasing left-handed clubs, it may seem as if it is a game made for the right-handed. Additionally, the tactics used to play golf is different for left-handed players as well. However, by knowing a few basics left-handed players will be playing properly in no time.

Instructions

  1. Stance

      Grip the golf club and place it behind the golf ball.

      Put your feet together and stand a few inches away from the ball.

      Perform a small step forward and a large step backward. When in this position, make sure your feet are a shoulder-width apart. You are now in the correct stance and are ready to hit the ball.

    Swinging

      Stand in the correct stance, gripping the golf club and slightly bend your knees.

      Raise your gold club as if you are going to swing at the ball. Make sure the toe of the golf club is pointing straight into the air.

      Raise the golf club until your left shoulder goes underneath your chin. As you move the club upward, make sure you are moving your hips as you do so. You are now in the correct position of a backswing and are ready to hit the ball.

      Swing the golf club back down so the toe of the club is pointing up in the same way as Step 1. Continue bringing the club back toward the ball and hit the ball's center. This step is one motion but to get the hang of this proper backswing, practice swinging your golf club on a regular basis.
