How to Hop Up a Golf Cart
Golf carts are common features on nearly any golf course around the world. They are used to transport players and equipment from tee to green and everywhere in-between. The normal factory speed is often fast enough for a leisurely day on the links, but for some it may be too slow. You can hop up your cart to a higher speed with a few simple tweaks.

1
Remove the gas-pedal restrictor in your cart. This is a bar located underneath the gas pedal that prevents driver's from compressing the pedal all the way. You can remove this with a wrench and a screwdriver.
-
2
Add larger tires to the cart. This can be done without any mechanical or automotive experience, and will allow your cart to move faster and cover more ground without any more engine power.
-
3
Adjust the governor within your cart's engine. The engine is located underneath the seats and the governor is near the top center of the engine. It is a T-shaped metal rod and should be fastened toward the cylindrical carburetor with a rubber band or duct tape.
