Instructions

Repairing minor nicks, dings and flaws
-
1
Lay the Easton hockey stick flat on a table or large surface where it will not be disturbed for several hours. Take note of any dings or heavy dents in the side of the stick that is facing up.
-
2
Pour liquid adhesive carefully and slowly into each dent, blemish or small crack. Use the squeegee to remove excess adhesive from the stick. Allow the adhesive to dry overnight.
-
3
Flip the Easton hockey stick over and apply the adhesive to any flaws on this side of the stick, as you did in Step 1.
Repairing a broken stick
-
4
Sand one of the broken ends by repeatedly rubbing it with the sand paper until you achieve a uniform smoothness. Repeat this process with the other piece of the Easton hockey stick.
-
5
Lay the sheet of wax paper on the table. Place the Easton hockey stick down on the table so that there is only an inch between each piece. Ensure that you have aligned the pieces correctly by confirming that the Easton hockey stick appears normal when the pieces are aligned.
-
6
Place the wood plug on the table so that its middle is beside the break in the hockey stick and use the permanent marker to record where each piece ends.
-
7
Sand the wood plug on each side until all that is remaining is the space between the two marks that you made in the previous step. Use the ruler to sand the plug to within a millimeter of the marks on each side.
-
8
Place the plug between each piece to test its fit. The plug should fit snugly when you press each piece of the Easton hockey stick against it. Sand more of the plug away as necessary. Remove the plug and apply liquid adhesive to each side. Place the plug between the break in the hockey stick and press firmly.
-
9
Allow the adhesive to dry overnight. Remove the wax paper by dipping the cloth in a bowel of hot water and rubbing vigorously.
