How to Attach Hockey Socks
Hockey requires a lot of equipment. Skates, pads and helmets are only a few of the items a hockey player requires to step onto the ice. Another important facet of the hockey uniform is the socks. Hockey socks are similar to thick leggings that fit over the shin pads to keep the legs warm and protect against moisture. They are held in place by garters that attach to a belt. Attaching hockey socks is an easy process.

1
Check the socks to make sure the garters at the top of them are attached properly and not tangled. It will be easier to untangle or reattach the straps before you slide the socks on if necessary.
-
2
Pull the hockey socks on over your legs once you have your shin guards on. The socks will slide on over the shin guards, and the garters will be at the top.
-
3
Attach the garters on the top of the socks to the girdle/belt around you waist. There are usually four clips on the socks with two on each side. Clip the belts to the girdle to hold the socks in place and prevent them from slipping.
