How to Dally a Lasso
A key part of rope training a horse is getting the animal comfortable with seeing a lasso move past its field of vision. The more you swing a lasso as you ride, the faster your horse will become comfortable seeing the rope and learn to accept it. But before you start working with your horse on rope training, you must properly dally the rope -- wind it around the saddle horn. You should never tie the lasso.
