Bauer FlexLite vs. Bauer Vapor

Bauer Flexlite hockey skates were designed to for "out-of-the-box" comfort, while the Bauer Vapor hockey skates were designed for optimum speed. Both lines of skates have multiple models available for purchase directly from the manufacturer.
  1. Basics

    • The Bauer Flexlite line of skates includes three models: 4.0, 3.0 and 2.0; while the Vapor line of skates includes seven models: X:60, X:50, X:40, X:30, X:20, X:15 and X:05.

    Inner Specifications

    • The Flexlite skates are made with Hydrophobic Clarino, Hydrophobic microfiber or brushed nylon linings. The Vapor skates may come with a Hydrophobic microfiber or brushed nylon lining and also with hydra-max, hydra mesh, quick-dry hydrophobic gripliner or basic microfiber lining. Both styles may include Insta-form-plus foam ankle pads.

      The Flexlite skates can come with comfort form ankle pads, while the Vapor skates can come with dual-density-plus foam ankle pads or closed-cell foam.

    Outer Specifications

    • Bauer Vapor skates are built with a variety of options when it comes to quarter package, such as ultra-light mesh with a thermoformed x-rib patter, lightweight sublimated basket-weave nylon with a thermoformed x-rib pattern or sublimated silver tech-nylon with a thermoformed x-rib pattern.

      Flexlite skates come with either a variable stiffness Flexposite quarter package or a lightweight tech mesh quarter package.

      Both lines of skates utilize Tuuk Lightspeed 2 runner blade holders, with either LS2 stainless steel runners or super stainless steel runners.
