Instructions

    • 1

Bang the soles of the cleats together to knock off mud, grass and other debris that may have accumulated.

    • 2

Dip a rag in water to wet it and use a mild detergent to gently wash off all the surface dirt from the cleats.

    • 3

Stuff the shoes with newspaper and place them in an airy place, out of direct sunlight and allow to thoroughly dry.

    • 4

Dip a soft rag into distilled white vinegar and dab the scraped area. The vinegar will cause the scratch to swell up. Allow the area to dry.

    • 5

Buff the scrape with a soft, dry cloth and colorless shoe polish.

    • 6

Use a colored marker the same color as the shoe. If the scratch is still visible, you can attempt to fill in the mark with a felt pen the same color as the cleats. Try the color on an inconspicuous spot to be sure the color matches before applying to a noticeable area.

Apply leather conditioner to the cleats to keep the leather repair supple.
