Different Trampoline Sizes

Whether for exercise, sport or just plain fun, trampolines can provide some great entertainment. Common styles range from smaller models used as a workout aid, to larger circular and rectangular trampolines used for enjoyment and competition. Depending on the intended use of the equipment, trampolines can come in a variety of sizes

  1. Rebounder Trampoline

    • Mini trampolines, or rebounders, are used for exercise and most commonly come in a circular shape. They are intended for use by only one person, and this is reflected in the size, with most running to no more than 40-inches in diameter. Some manufacturers also produce square-shaped rebounders with dimensions of around 40-inches square.

    Round Trampolines

    • The smallest of the leisure trampolines in a round shape typically have a diameter of around 8 feet and make a good choice for younger children. For older children and adults, a larger size will prove more suitable. The diameter of round trampolines can increase to around 16 feet. Various sizes are available in-between, with common options including 10-, 12-, and 14-feet diameter trampolines.

    Square Trampolines

    • Square-shaped leisure trampolines generally have much the same dimensions as circular trampolines. Smaller models suitable for toddlers and younger children typically start around 8-feet square in size, and this can increase to models of around 15-feet square, with the larger size again the best option for older children and adults.

    Rectangular Trampolines

    • Professional competition trampolines, such as those used in the Olympic Games and other sporting events, come in a rectangular shape. These models come as large as 17-feet-long. However, rectangular-shaped trampolines for leisure activities can also come in other sizes, with smaller models starting at around 6-feet by 9-feet up to 15-feet by 17-feet.

    Water Trampolines

    • A water trampoline typically sits in an open body of water, and these can be larger than a land trampoline. The design enables it to float on water for use. They typically come in a circular shape. Sizes start at around a diameter of 10 feet for the smaller models available up to around 25 feet for some of the biggest water trampolines on the market.
