Perfomance Training

Training Athletes are constantly searching for ways to train more efficiently. Examining numerous training methods will put a stop to locker room theories as to which regimens are the best. One solution would be to examine the effects of interval training on stamina levels by comparing one group that uses parachute or military training and one that doesn't. This would provide you with enough data to come to a fairly detailed conclusion by comparing and contrasting individual stamina levels.
Equipment Testing

A golf swing Testing the mechanics of the body when performing different sports actions will involve both biology and physics, while combining the sports-related compenents. Examples could include:analyzing the impact of a golf swing and different sets of clubs on performance, or the physics behind a forceful football throwing action. The interaction between the energy and matter with various forces are unique areas to consider for an interesting educational project.
Diet and Nutrition
-
Types of food Nutrition plays an important role in sports as to how an athlete prepares and performs. You could study how nutrition affects athletes; for instance by examining the effects of a low carb diet on sports performance. Energy drinks such as 'Monster' and 'Relentless' were created to enhance athletic perfomance; and most athletes agree that nutrition does affect their play. Determining why that is correct can form an interesting project. A study may consist of an athlete using different sports drinks and testing his energy levels before and after exercise.
Effectiveness of Exercises
-
Does exercise affect memory? Different ways of exercising affect different parts of the body. For a more biology-based project, a unique idea may be to focus on how regular exercise affects memory. Take two groups of people, one who exercise on a regular basis and another that does not. Using a simple memory test -- an existing one or one that you have devised -- examine whether those who exercise regularly score higher on the same test than those who don't.
