Horseback riding is a popular activity in many part of the country, however, due to space requirements it can be more difficult to find horseback riding activities in large urban centers. Despite that, Orlando has a number of places to enjoy horseback riding. This is an excellent activity for those who love animals, for fitness enthusiasts and for those who just enjoy being outdoors.

    • Horse World is a riding stable located south of Orlando. Near Disney World, this ranch is easily accessible for locals or tourists. This stable puts a strong emphasis on taking care of their horses, ensuring they are fed properly and not worked to exhaustion. Medical care for the animals also takes a top priority, so animal lovers can rest easy knowing the horses are being looked after. Three levels of trail rides are available, based on your level of riding ability. Riding lessons are available for those without experience.

    Water's Edge Stables

    • Water's Edge Stables provides horseback enthusiasts with a look at traditionally-structured riding schools and programs. This facility is aimed at show-riders and those with an interest in jumping. Lessons are available for horses and for riders. This is a boarding stable and program, so it is geared towards those who own their own horses.     Tri-Circle-D Ranch & Farm

    • Some attractions or activities can't be found within the Disney World region in Orlando. Horseback riding is an exception. The Tri-Circle-D Ranch offers a western riding experience for all ages. There are 45-minute trail rides available. For those who don't want to ride themselves, a carriage ride is an option instead. Clarcona Farm is a family owned farm that raises all types of animals, including horses. Riding lessons and pony rides are offered, as well as a special summer camp for children interested in horseback riding. These camps offer extended riding experience, and also teach children how to work on a farm and care for the animals that live there.
