How to Use Liquid Bullet Lube

Taking good care of your firearms is important in order to extend the life of the gun. Although periodic cleanings is needed, you also should use some sort of liquid lube for the bullets. Liquid lube coats the bullets so when the gun is fired the bullets provide better accuracy but don't scratch the inside of the barrel and damage the inner chamber.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the bullets into a plastic container. Only do a small number of bullets at a time because it can be difficult to coat large amounts of bullets with lube.

    • 2

Pour liquid lube into the container. Pour in enough to coat the top layer of bullets. You can always add more lube later.

    • 3

Close the lid and shake the container in a circular motion. Check the bullets after a few moments to see if they are coated. Pour in more lube if needed.

    • 4

Pour the lube-covered bullets out onto wax paper. Spread them out so they aren't touching one another. Do not use newspaper; it will stick to the liquid lube and be difficult to remove later. Allow the bullets to dry overnight.

Test at least one of the bullets to make sure it loads properly into the gun. If you feel resistance inserting a bullet, you need to re-size the bullet. For this you can pick up a bullet-sizing kit at your local firearms store.
