How Do I Dispose of Old Skis in Colorado?
Instructions

-
1
Recycle old ski equipment so it doesn't end up in a landfill. Companies like Colorado Ski & Golf or Boulder Ski Deals will take your equipment and either donate it to a charity or send it away to be taken apart to make new products, depending on the usability of your old skis and ski equipment.
-
2
Trade in your ski gear. Some companies offer trade-in programs for new equipment. You can also trade with other skiers on known community trading sites like Freecycle or Craigslist.
-
3
Upcycle your skis to make furniture and household items. If you aren't inclined to make something yourself, consider taking or sending your skis to Green Mountain Ski Furniture, SKI-TEC, Skichair or Reeski, where something can be created for you.
-
4
Donate your useable skis. Boulder Sports Recycler, Gear4Good and Sports Gift all accept used sports equipment either for consignment or to give to people without access to ski equipment. Goodwill and the Salvation Army also accept donations year-round.
