How to Convert Snow Ski Boot Sizes for Kids
Children's ski boots are as important to their skiing set-up as adults' are. Getting a child outfitted for skiing requires knowing their current shoe size, typically in US sizing. This presents a problem as most ski boots are sold in the ski standard Mondo sizing. Luckily, there are many resources available to convert the tyke's US shoe size to the Mondo ski boot standard.

1
Inspect the ski boot in question for a numeric size. If the boot is in Mondo sizing, look for a number beginning around 18 or 18.5.
-
2
Cross reference this Mondo number with the chart adjustment table for US to Mondo boots (see Resources). Find your child's boot size and use the cross reference to find the appropriate sized Mondo ski boot.
-
3
Find the Mondo size on the boot box, inside the boot tongue or on the ski boot sole. Most youth Mondo sizes start at 14.0/14.5 and continue up to 19.0/19.5.
