How to Convert a Shoe Size to a Ski Boot Size

Skiing is a fun way to spend a winter afternoon but you could end up with an injury if your boots don't fit correctly. A proper fit should support your ankle and be snug, like a sock. Ski boots are measured using the mondopoint system. Mondopoint sizing first appeared in Australia during the 1960s and measures the size of your foot in centimeters. You can convert your US, UK or Euro shoe size to mondopoint sizing.

      Determine your US, UK or Euro shoe size. If you are unsure of your exact size, visit your local shoe store and ask to be measured.

      Locate a mondopoint size chart. You can find one online at Al's Ski Equipment Barn, Evo and Marmot Mountain Works or at a ski equipment shop.

      Find your shoe size on the mondo chart and locate the corresponding size in the mondopoint column.
