How to Repair Ski Goggles

Ski goggles are the most fragile part of any ski outfit. They have several parts that can be damaged easily. Yet they are also one of the most vital parts of a ski outfit. The most delicate part of the goggle is the lens. Other parts of the goggle are less susceptible to damage and easy to repair. A well-built pair of ski goggles can last years if you take preventive maintenance to protect the lens and occasionally fix the strap or frame.

Instructions

Spray a glasses repair solution on your ski goggles, and wipe with a soft cloth to fill in scratches. To prevent dirt and grit from scratching your lens, use a soft cotton cloth with a lens cleaning solution before and after each use.

    • 2

Sew a ripped strap using the thickest thread available. If able, use a sewing machine, or stitch by hand using a needle and thread. Double back on stitching several times, because the sewn area will be under stress when the strap is stretched over your head.

Remove the lens out of your goggle frame if the frame is broken. Put a couple of dabs of super glue on the broken parts of the frame. Hold the broken pieces together tightly until the glue dries. Replace the lens.
