How to Keep Goggles on a Ski Helmet

Hit the snow slopes with protective gear like helmet and goggles. Goggles offer eye protection against ultraviolet rays, sun's glare and reflection, wind and snow. Goggles also offer an eye shield against twigs or branches that may hit your face along the path. Similarly, helmets provide safety against impact while also keeping your head warm. For your own safety, always wear both items and keep them on at all times during your runs on the ski trails.

Instructions

Make sure your ski helmet and goggles are compatible. Try the goggles on with your helmet and check for comfort and fit. If the two are incompatible, the goggles might not be able to cling onto the helmet at all.

    • 2

Look for goggles with adjustable straps that can fit and stay secure around your head and ski helmet. Straps may have a single, sliding clip or an open-and-close buckle with sliding clips located on each side. Choose goggles with wider straps for more comfort and hold.

Secure the goggles by strapping them on the helmet's goggle mount. Helmets equipped with a goggle mount on the back secure the goggles and prevent them from falling off. Some goggles have an elastic cord with a hook and pull; others have a loop with a popper; and some styles have a plastic holder that secures the goggles.
