Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your blow dryer, heat gun or kitchen stove to warm up. If using the stove, put hot water into a pot to boil.

    • 2

Take your heat source (hair dryer or heat gun) and place it near the attachment point of your ferrule. For the stove, hold the poles so that the ferrule is over the boiling water.

    • 3

Heat the ferrules for a few minutes while the ferrule and the glue attaching it softens. The glue used in attaching ferrules and baskets on poles softens when heated.

    • 4

Remove the old ferrule slowly by pulling it off. Be sure to get the whole ferrule off, glue included.

    • 5

Let the pole cool. Attach your new ferrule using a water soluble or ferrule glue.

    • 6

Repeat with the other pole if necessary.

    • 7

Let the glue dry completely before using your new ferrules.
