How to Dry Ski Boots

After a day of skiing, you may find your ski boots wet inside from accumulated snow and ice. Whether you plan to ski again the following day or you need to pack your ski boots away for another time, make sure your boots are completely dry inside. Excess moisture trapped inside your ski boots may lead to damage, so dry ski boots thoroughly when they become wet.

Instructions

    • 1

Place your ski boots on the floor in front of you with the toes facing out.

    • 2

Unbuckle your ski boots completely and unfasten the power straps from the tops of your boots.

    • 3

Grasp the back of a boot with one hand and the back of a boot liner with the other hand.

    • 4

Pull the boot liner forward, up and out of your boot.

    • 5

Reach inside the boot liners and pull out the footpads to dry them separately.

    • 6

Place the boot liners and the separated footpads near a source of heat. Prop them up so heat flowing through a forced-air heat register will flow over them, place them on top of a radiator or place them on the hearth in front of a fireplace.

    • 7

Wipe out the insides of your boots with the towel to dry them.

    • 8

Allow the boot liners and footpads to dry overnight.

    • 9

Place the footpads back into the boot liners after they dry completely. Insert the boot liners back into the boots, pushing them into place with your hands.
