How to Establish a Traveling Soccer Team

Soccer is the world's favorite sport. Children and teenagers off all ages are signing up for recreational teams, and searching for traveling teams to become a part of. Establishing a traveling soccer team is a long process, but very rewarding in the end. Learning all of the steps, from choosing a team name, to entering a league will help to make your endeavor possible.

      Choose a team name that reflects the location that your team will be based out of, and call this location its 'home-field'.

      Find and hire a coaching staff. This would include a team manager to handle the logistics of the team, and a team trainer to do the actual training and coaching of the soccer players.

      Hold tryouts to find the soccer players for your team. You can either invite certain players to try out for your team, or allow all those who are interested to try out. Your tryouts can consist of various soccer drills and soccer game scenarios.

      After the tryouts, discuss with the manager and trainer who you would like to invite to join your team. Keep in mind the 11 different positions on a soccer team, and decide on players who will make your team the best it can be.

      After selecting your team players,register with a local "club soccer" league.

      Investigate soccer tournaments in areas where your team would like to travel and play other teams. Contact these soccer tournaments, and apply for your team to participate in these tournaments.
