Instructions

    • 1

Run in high-intensity intervals. Run a couple of 100-meter sprints with only 20 to 30 seconds in between for a break. This will increase your tolerance for lactic acid, the chemical that makes you "feel the burn" during strenuous workouts.

    • 2

Eat healthily. Feeding candy bars and soda down your gullet will make you feel heavy and slow. Eat foods from all of the food groups, and avoid greasy food like hamburgers. When you eat meat, eat cuts that are leaner in fat.

    • 3

Sleep for at least eight hours a day, so that your body has time to rejuvenate itself.

    • 4

Rest your body. If you push yourself too hard, you will cause muscle pulls and cramps.
