How to Catch a Soccer Ball on Your Head

When it comes to playing soccer, players who have great ball handling skills have an advantage over those who do not. And while many people can juggle the soccer ball with their feet, thighs, chest and even head, not everyone can actually catch a soccer ball on their head. Here's how to do it.

Using the front of your foot, wedge it under the soccer ball and pop the soccer ball off the ground into the air with a quick flick of the foot.

    • 2

As gravity pulls the soccer ball back down, kick it back in the air a bit higher by using the instep of your foot. Simply strike the soccer ball upward.

    • 3

As the ball comes back down again, keep it in the air using your thigh. Bounce the ball off your thigh a few times focusing on getting it to bounce up higher than your head.

    • 4

Lean your body and your neck backward. By leaning back you'll create a flat plane on your forehead where you'll momentarily catch the soccer ball.

    • 5

After the ball bounces off your thigh, and your neck and forehead are leaned back in the proper position, bounce the ball off your forehead a few times. Focus on each head juggle being smaller and smaller so that the ball doesn't bounce as high each time. Eventually the ball will rest on your forehead, meaning you have now "caught" the ball with your head.
