Put the newspaper down on a work surface. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on each hand grip. Pull the hand grips off of the pistol and put them both down on the newspaper.
-
2
Apply the rotary drill to one of the handgun grips. Score the handgun grip evenly over its entire surface.
-
3
Put a glass jar face down on the newspaper. Put the handgun grip on top of the glass jar.
-
4
Spray a thick coat of the clear plastic material coating spray on the top and all sides of the handgun grip.
-
5
Apply the rubber paste to the top and sides of the handgun grip until there is a thick coating. Smooth out the paste with the coffee stick.
-
6
Spray a light coating of the paint finish spray paint on the top and sides of the handgun grip. Let the paint finish spray paint dry.
-
7
Apply another coating of the rubber paste to the handgun grip and smooth it out with the coffee stick.
-
8
Spray another light coating of the paint finish spray paint on the top and sides of the handgun grip. Let the paint finish spray paint dry.
-
9
Repeat the process of applying the rubber paste and then the paint finish spray paint to the handgun grip an additional three times, with the coating from the paint finish spray applied the thickest when it is used for the last time.
-
10
Repeat the entire process with the other handgun grip. Reattach the two grips to the handgun to use the rubberized grips you have made.
