1
Put a pair of athletic socks on, and put your foot into an unlaced Nike shoe. Fold one shoelace in half.
-
2
Insert one plastic end of the shoelace into the eyelet on the left at the very top of the column of eyelets. Insert the other plastic end of the shoelace into the eyelet on the right at the very top of the column of eyelets. Pull each side of the shoelace tight. You now have a flat horizontal band of shoelace connecting the two eyelets at the top.
-
3
Adjust the right and left ends of the shoelace so that there is an exactly equal amount of shoelace on either side. Cross one shoelace over the other, making an "x" shape. Feed each piece of shoelace into the next set of eyelets, going over the top of the shoe. Thus, the shoelace that entered the right eyelet in the previous step will now be entering the left eyelet and vice versa.
-
4
Continue to cross the shoelaces over each other and feed them into the next set of eyelets. At the last set of eyelets, feed the shoelaces into them as you normally would and pull them tight or loose based on your needs. You can then tie the shoelaces into a bow or knot.
