How to Customize Nike Cleats

When you're on the field, you need every advantage you can get. Customizing your cleats can garner attention and give your uniform some extra flair. Nike's website has a wide variety of customization options for nearly every sort of athletic wear.

      Go to the NikeID website, nikeid.com.

      Select whether you want to make men's or women's cleats from the options at the top of the page. Choose the sport you want to make cleats for. Customizing is similar for football and soccer cleats.

      Click on the cleat model you wish to customize. A page will appear displaying a 3-D model of the cleat. Click on the model to make the customization options available.

      Design the color scheme for your cleats. Click on the section of the cleat you want to change the color of and select a new color from the pop-up menu. Repeat this process until you're satisfied with the look of your cleats.

      Click the "Size" tab on the right side of the screen. A menu for selecting the size of your cleat will appear on the left. Select your shoe size in the drop-down menu. NikeID will assume you only want one pair of cleats. If you want to order more, use the drop-down menu to change the number you'd like to order.

      Click the "Save and Share" button to explore the various ways of keeping your cleat for later viewing. You can register for a Nike account (the "My Locker" option), post your cleat to Facebook or Twitter or add it to NikeID's user gallery of shoes.

      Select "Add to Cart" when you're completely finished. This will bring you to the checkout area. Enter your credit card information and complete your purchase.
