How to Swim With Contact Lenses
Swimming provides an excellent opportunity to have fun, enjoy warm weather and get some exercise. But if you have poor vision and wear contact lenses, you might be afraid of losing those lenses while swimming. Don't let those worries leave you pool-side while your friends are splashing around having all the fun. You still can swim while wearing contacts.

1
Wear swim goggles. Sporting goods stores sell goggles that you can wear and even open your eyes under water while wearing contacts. Make sure the goggles fit snug, but be aware that often goggles will fog up. Some goggles that won't fog up are more expensive.

2
Purchase prescription swim goggles that you can wear instead of contacts. See your optician.
-
3
Keep your head above water to avoid the potential issues involved with swimming while wearing contact lenses.
