How to Make Waves in a Swimming Pool
Spending time at the pool with friends or family is always a good time. Create some excitement (especially among kids) by making waves in the pool for people to float on in intertubes and boogie boards. It is simple to make waves with a boogie board and a little bit of arm strength.

1
Stand in the shallow end of the pool, against the wall that faces the deep end.
-
2
Place a boogie board in front of you horizontally. Wrap both of your arms over the top of the boogie board, holding onto either top edge.
-
3
Raise your arms a little in the water and push the boogie board down until it is underwater 1 to 2 inches. Hold onto the boogie board tightly as you bring it back up to water level. Repeat this procedure over and over until you see small waves start to roll towards the deep end.
-
4
Increase your speed and force on the boogie board. This will create larger waves that begin to slap against the sides of the pool.
