1
Purchase a good stringing machine. There are several models available with a wide range in prices. Select one that best fits your budget keeping in mind that a quality stringing machine costs between $500 and $1,000.
-
2
Assemble and set up the stringing machine. Become familiar with how the machine works and how to use the different settings and features.
-
3
Find the correct stringing pattern. Babolat makes several models of rackets and the stringing pattern differs amongst them. The United States Racquet Stringers Association's (USRSA) website provides a search option for locating the correct pattern for the different models.
-
4
Mount the racket onto the stringing machine according to the machine's instructions. Make sure it is securely clamped. Adjust the machine to the desired tension and one that is within the manufacturer's recommended tension range. This range is usually imprinted on the throat of the racket or can be found through the USRSA website's search tool.
-
5
String the Babolat racket using the correct pattern for the model. Finish with a secure tie-off knot. Clip off the excess string and release the racket from the machine's clamps.
-
6
Contact a certified USRSA stringer if you are uncertain about the stringing process. This can also be done through the USRSA website.
