Vvolleyball has become quite popular at the junior high, high school and collegiate level in addition to being played in the Olympics and in professional leagues such as beach volleyball.   1. US Sports Camps

    • US Sports Camps is an organization that works in conjunction with Nike to sponsor various sports camps around the country throughout the year. US Sports Camps sponsors a volleyball camp that takes place each July at Rutgers University. A maximum of 100 players are enrolled and have the choice to attend daily or stay overnight. Targeted for girls aged 10 to 18, the basic skills camp focuses on learning the fundamentals and understanding the game while the advanced camp is aimed at high school volleyball players.

    Montclair State University Girls Volleyball Camp

    • Montclair University offers two types of girls volleyball camps. For those interested in individual instruction, there is a three-day camp focusing on the fundamentals and skills of passing, hitting, spiking and blocking. For girls who are currently part of a high school team, there is "Team Leadership Camp" for group instruction, where campers work on skills together as a team in the off-season. This camp is a four-day overnight camp where campers stay at Montclair University.

    Maria Nolan's Developmental Volleyball Camp for Girls

    • Maria Nolan, known as the "winningest" coach in New Jersey High School volleyball, has won numerous titles and tournaments and boasts a record eight consecutive undefeated seasons through 2010. Maria Nolan's Developmental Volleyball Camp for Girls is aimed at girls in 7th through 12th grade. The camp, usually held in the month of July, focuses on the fundamentals of volleyball including hitting, serving, setting, digging and transition. The camp is divided into separate age groups to keep players of similar ages and skills together to maximize the experience. The camp is usually held in the month of July.
