Specifications for a Lugger Engine

Northern Lights is the manufacturer of various engines for watercraft, including the Lugger series of motors. Lugger marine engines were originally designed for uninterrupted commercial usage and can be found on tugs, passenger vessels and other large boats.
  1. L844D and L944D

    • L844D and L944D Lugger engines feature four cylinders and a mechanical fuel system. The L844D has a high output of 40 horsepower (hp) at 2,800 revolutions per minute (rpm) with a displacement of 121 cubic inches. The L944D outputs 65 hp at 2,500 rpm and has a displacement of 203 cubic inches.

    L1064 and L1066 series

    • The Northern Lights Lugger L1064 utilizes four cylinders with a displacement of 276 cubic inches while the L1066 uses six cylinders with a displacement of 414 cubic inches. The L1066H has the most power out of the series with 275 hp at 2,400 rpm and the L1064 has a maximum of 140 hp at 2,500 rpm.

    L6125H

    • The Lugger L6125H produces a high output of 470 hp at 2,300 rpm, using a six cylinder engine with a displacement of 674 cubic inches. The bore for this motor is 4.92 inches in diameter and 5.91 inches in depth.
