How to Size Twin Tip Skis
Instructions
-
-
1
Write down your height.
-
2
Weigh yourself on a bathroom scale and write the weight down. You do not have to use the scale if you already know your weight.
-
3
Take the paper with your height and weight written on it when you go to the ski shop and look at the available twin tip skis.
-
4
Lift your arm up over your head. In general, for a beginner, the ski placed upright on the floor next to you should come up to the wrist of the arm you have over your head.
-
5
Choose a pair of skis, if you are an intermediate skier, by finding a pair that only comes to the top of your head or your forehead. If you are an advanced skier, you should find the pair of skis that is best for your personal skiing style.
-
6
Narrow down your twin tip ski choices by factoring in your experience, weight and what you want to do with your skis.
-
7
Refer to the ski sizing chart (see Resources) for an outline of choosing the right size twin tip skis for your ability.
