1
Find the center of your twin tip skis and your ski boots. All skis and ski boots have an indicator as to where the center is located.
-
2
Choose your style. Skiers mount their bindings based upon the type of skiing. Simply moving the bindings forward 2cm can drastically change the handling of the skis.
Moving the binding from zero to 2cm forward of center is considered an all-mountain stance. Use this setting if a majority of time is spent outside of the terrain park.
Moving the binding 2 to 5cm forward is a versatile stance for skiers who spend about half of their time in the terrain park.
Moving the binding 5 to 7cm forward is the perfect stance for skiers who spend all of their time in the terrain park.

3
Figure placement. Measure the distance from the front of the bindings to the center of the boots. Do this by placing the boots in the bindings. Add this measurement to that of your style choice. Measure this total distance from the center of the skis forward, and mark the location.

4
Mark locations for drill holes. Place the bindings on each ski without the boot. Line up the front of the bindings with the farthest point forward mark. Mark the ski wherever a hole will be necessary throughout the binding.

5
Drill into the skis at each point that was marked for a screw hole. Drilling through skis is a very delicate procedure. Be especially careful while drilling through the tough top sheet into the soft wood core. Don't drill through the bottom sheet of the skis. The holes should not go the entire way through the ski but instead stop just before reaching the bottom sheet.

6
Screw the bindings to the skis using hardware provided by the binding manufacturer. These screws are built to handle a lot of torque. So tighten them as much as possible.

7
Choose a proper DIN setting. The DIN setting varies based upon weight and skill level of the skier. Consult an expert for your proper DIN setting.
