How to Clean Wrestling Headgear

There is a high incidence of skin irritations and infection, such as ringworm and staph infections, among wrestlers and other grapplers. One of the best ways of reducing the frequency of these infections and protecting yourself from other communicable diseases is to keep your wrestling gear clean. Use your own headgear whenever possible, and clean it after every use. If you're on a team that shares headgear, make sure that it is properly cleaned after each use.
