Baton Twirling Poster Ideas

Whether you need to advertise for auditions for your baton-twirling club or to let people know about your upcoming performance, a poster can help get attention. If you focus on your audience and keep your poster simple, you'll have a tool to keep people informed about the goings-on of your team.
  1. Keep It Simple

    • Keep your design simple and not too graphically heavy. You can have a picture of a majorette twirling her baton in the corner or as the left or right side of the poster, but don't overload it with pictures that make it difficult to read the information. Limit the number of images and balance them out with text.

    Keep It Catchy

    • You may want to use one or two colorful, simple pictures to catch your viewer's eye. You can use a graphic of one of your teammates twirling her baton or draw a picture of a baton or a girl twirling her baton. You can use your own or download the clip art at Rivalart.com (see Resources).

    Keep It Legible

    • Make sure your audience can read your intended message. You can choose to type out your poster on a computer and have it professionally printed at a copy store or to make the poster yourself with some markers and poster board. Write out what you want to print on your poster board before you put it in marker so you don't make any spelling errors. You may even want to write your information out on your board in pencil so you can see how it will look before you ink it in permanently.

    Keep It Colorful

    • Add lots of color to your poster to catch and keep viewers' attention, Glitter pens, glitter glue, colored markers and printing the posters in color at a copy store are all ways to keep your project eye-catching.
