Select Baton-Twirling Uniforms
-
1
Ask your school or club team coach about the best sources of uniforms. These could be local stores, regional suppliers or even Internet e-commerce sites. You always want to check with your coach though, as your team may have a special relationship with an area store where you may be able to take advantage of significant discounts on uniforms.

2
Think about the color you want your uniform to be. Some teams have specific requirements about uniform colors, while others just ask that you get an outfit featuring at least one team color. If your uniform color is a little unorthodox, you may have a little difficulty finding a seamstress or supplier with access to material in the color you need.
-
3
Select shoes to go with your uniform. Ideally, you should find shoes which offer you a great deal of arch support and comfort. While your shoes do need to look nice and complement your uniform, it's just as important that they give you both flexibility and support.
-
4
Consider whether you want to make gloves a part of your uniform. While gloves can make you appear more professional and put-together, they can also make baton twirling more difficult, especially for beginners. If you decide to go with gloves, look for varieties with rubber dots to help you maintain a good grip on your baton.
-
5
Take into consideration any extra charges you may encounter when searching for the perfect supplier. For example, if you think you will rack up charges getting your uniform custom tailored or designed, you'll need to make sure you have room in your budget to accommodate these needs.
-
6
Compare prices among a number of different suppliers. Don't forget that some smaller local and regional stores have some very talented seamstresses who can make custom outfits from scratch or even duplicate a more expensive uniform for less money.
