How to Wave a Tattered Banner
Things You'll Need
- Banner
- Iron
- Scissors
Instructions
-
Prepare the Banner
-
1
Unroll the banner from the pole and inspect it, ensuring that, although tattered, it is securely attached to the pole.
-
2
Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands. If that doesn't work, use an iron. Check the material and if you're unsure if it can handle the heat, put a towel between the iron and the banner. Run the iron over the towel several times and check to ensure it removes the creases.
-
3
Trim the tattered edges as best as possible with a pair of scissors. This will make it look less tattered and give it the best appearance possible, given its condition.
Wave the Banner
-
4
Grasp the banner with two hands. Your dominant hand, the one you write with, should be on top. Hold it firmly.
-
5
Plant both feet and use your body to help wave the banner back and forth. Wave it proudly, despite its condition and it's less likely the tatters will even be noticed.
-
6
Run with the banner in front of a cheering crowd, for example, during a football game. Hold the banner stiffly with your arms and let it flow behind you as you run.
-
7
Carry the banner with pride and a smile on your face. Move with quickness and energy while carrying the banner. That is what the crowd will remember, not the worn-out condition of your banner.
