How to Learn Cheer Stunts on One Leg
Instructions

1
Stand straight on a hard and flat surface. Position your assistants at your sides and behind you.
-
2
Tell them you are ready for a simultaneous lift. Have each side assistant position one hand firmly on your heel and the other tightly on your ankle nearest them. Tell the assistant behind you to grasp your calves.
-
3
Shout the leg you intend to lift -- "left," for example -- so the back end assistant releases his grasp on the left calf. Adjust your weight entirely onto your right foot as your assistants lift you into the air. Keep your legs locked and back and shoulders straight. Look straight ahead. Your assistants should lift slowly and evenly until your right ankle is at shoulder height.
-
4
Lift your left knee until it is horizontal with the ground. Raise your arms into a V-shape at the same time. Tighten your abs and keep them tight while in position. Have the left-side and back end assistant help you with the leg lift at first -- if necessary.
-
5
Lower the left leg until the heel and calf are firmly back into place and you are lowered to the ground. Repeat the steps for a one-legged right leg stunt.
