How to Create a Cheerleader Game
Things You'll Need
- One baseball bat per squad
- One pompom per squad
Instructions
-
Setting up the Game
-
1
Divide into groups. Divide all cheerleaders into their individual squads. If you only have one, split up equally into four groups.
-
2
Arrange each squad into a single file line. All cheerleaders should be facing the same direction.
-
3
One baseball bat per squad. Distribute one baseball bat (plastic or wooden) to the cheerleader at the front of each line.
-
4
Place one pompom approximately 50 feet in front of the cheerleader at the front of each line.
Playing the Game
-
5
Signal the start of the game. Signal the start of the game with a countdown or a simple "go."
-
6
Holding the baseball bat vertically from the ground up, the first cheerleader from each line will spin around the bat 10 times. As she spins, she should hold on to the top of the bat with two hands while leaning over and resting her forehead on the top of the bat. The second cheerleader in line will be spinning the first cheerleader by the waist and counting the 10 spins.
-
7
Run as best as you can. Cheer on the first cheerleader once she has finished her 10 spins. She will now attempt to run 50 feet in a straight line as fast as she can to the pompom in front of your row and back.
-
8
As soon as the first cheerleader returns to the bat, start the second cheerleader spinning. After her 10 spins, she will then run to the pompom and back just as the cheerleader before her did.
-
9
Continue these steps until everyone on your squad has participated. The person at the front of the line will always spin with their forehead on the bat and run. The second person in line will always be the designated cheerleader to spin his teammate around the bat. The team who has all squad members back to their bat first wins.
