How to Combine Cheerleading Moves Into a Dance

1
Identify which moves you want to incorporate into a dance. The more rigid or precise a movement is, the more effort you will need to invest in making the flow smoother like a dance move.
-
2
Listen to the music you want to put the cheerleading moves to. Notice the rhythm and beat. Count the beat you hear by counting "one, two, three, four ..." to each beat or change in sound you hear. You will want the cheerleading move to go to the beat at the same rhythmical speed. Faster-paced music will incorporate the quick and high-energy cheerleading moves easier.

3
Stand in front of a mirror and play the music you want the cheerleading moves to go with. Try out the moves and see if you like the way it looks. Make sure your movement is in tune with the music.
-
4
Ask a friend or relative to observe your dance incorporating the new moves. Consider videotaping your dance and viewing it yourself to see how it looks to others. Notice any areas where you can improve or where the moves do not flow with the music. You may need to revamp the dance once or twice before you like it.
