Sport Locker Decorations

Decorating a teammate's locker either in the locker room or in the school hallways is an ideal way to show team spirit, use some creativity with sports and show the rest of the team how much you care. You can decorate a sport locker in a variety of ways.

  1. Magnetic Decorations

    • One of the easiest ways to decorate a sports locker is to use magnetic decorations. You can purchase these locker magnets at a variety of department stores, as well as online retailers. Locker magnets come in several different colors and themes that correspond to team colors as well as to the specific sport. In addition, the magnets can help hold up other items, such as a poster or pennant.

    Avoid Fabrics

    • When decorating a sports locker, avoid using fabrics to line the outside or inside of a locker. These fabrics will absorb the smell of equipment, used uniforms and shoes, making for an unpleasant odor and taking away from the fun and beauty of locker decorations. Always make common-sense choices when decorating a sports locker.

    Team Decor

    • Use items in the team's colors to decorate the locker, such as magnets, T-shirts, pennants and other team-related items. Some teams have bumper stickers and other objects available, and you can use these items to decorate a sports locker as well. Other teammates might want to decorate their locker with their numbers.

    Sports Photos

    • To make a sports locker personal, decorate it using photographs from the team. Make photo frames out of foam or cardboard, and place pictures inside the frames. Pictures could include recent team photos or action photos from some of the best games. Other possible sports memories to use include photographs from banquets or team-bonding activities. Attach the homemade picture frames to magnets, which will hang easily on a sports locker.
