Describe how some of the aspects of sports can help to make an individual a stronger person in life. Recovering from a bad, or unlucky, performance in sports can be used as motivation in coping with difficult moments in our lives. Conversely, the difficult triumphs in sports can be utilized and be referred to, when a task seems too difficult outside of the sports arena. Also, disabled sportsmen and sportswomen can be inspirational in teaching us how we can overcome adversity.

Stress sportsmanship. Sportsmanship teaches to respect the opponent, no matter how fierce that opponent may be on a sports field. This can be taken into life away from the sports field and used as an example of how to show tolerance. We might not agree with someone's opinion, but we should show respect.

Write about how a sportsman or sportswoman should always try to do their best. If someone pushes themselves as hard as they can, then there is no reason to feel disappointed when that best is not good enough to get the desired result. Emphasize that every sportsman or sportswoman can improve. Even the most talented athletes do not make the most of their ability everyday. Stress that dedication will help an athlete achieve their goals. Also emphasize that dedication shouldn't be taken to extremes and that sports should still be fun, however serious it gets. Getting to the top isn't easy; hard work will pay off.
