Fundraising is a crucial endeavor for most sports teams, but it can be a time consuming and laborious process.   1. Hot Dog Stand

    • Hot dogs are the ultimate food to enjoy during a baseball game, so you might consider selling them at your next big game. Try to keep individual spending costs low by assigning each team member a package or two of hot dogs and/or buns to bring to the game. While you could prepare the dogs ahead of time, grilling them on the spot will help to draw increased attention and maximize your sales. Keep ketchup, mustard, and other toppings readily available. You might also consider selling bottled water or soft drinks to accompany the hot dogs.

    Throwing and Batting Competitions

You can set up the radar gun either inside a batting cage or near a backdrop with a printed strike zone. Award prizes to the batters and throwers with the highest speeds. This might be an endeavor that you would want to go in on with the entire league, rather than solely relying on the resources of the team.

    Dunk Tank

    • Host a dunk tank on a high traffic game day and sell chances to throw the ball at the target. This is another strategy that might be best approached as an entire league rather than an individual team as you'll have to rent the dunk tank. You could potentially increase profits by enlisting the help of a local celebrity like a popular teacher or principal. Have this person volunteer to sit in the dunk tank to attract more customers who want to try their luck. Try selling "packaged" chances, like two or three throws per $1.

    Team "Pitch In" Auction

    • Use the physical fitness of your baseball team to your advantage by hosting an auction within your community. Auction off team members to do chores for the highest bidder.
