How to Put Images on Wrestling Tights

Wrestling tights are typically made from Spandex or some kind of Spandex blend. This can make it a challenge to add images to the fabric, because it is so stretchy. There are two ways to add images to wrestling tights. The first method uses a fabric paint designed for use with Spandex and other stretchy fabrics. The second method uses iron-on heat image transfers to place the transfer over the fabric without damaging the fibers of the fabric.

Instructions

  1. Paint

    • 1

Clean the tights by washing and air drying them.

    • 2

Place the fabric in the desired position with the image you want to paint facing up.

    • 3

Paint the desired design onto the tights using paint for use for stretchy fabrics. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours before wearing the tights.

    Iron-Ons

    • 4

Place the iron-on onto the desired place on the tights. Hold the design in place with straight pins.

    • 5

Hold the iron about 2 inches above the surface of the fabric. Hit the steam button to release the heat onto the fabric and transfer.

    • 6

Hold the iron in place for about one minute until the iron-on fuses with the fabric. Allow the fabric to cool for about five minutes before wearing the tights.
