How to Order a Wilson or Nike Banner for a Tennis Court

Having a Wilson or Nike banner on a tennis court is a great way to make the court feel more like a training center as opposed to a recreation center. For tennis teaching pros who are looking to attract more serious clientele, placing banners on the tennis court fencing gives more credence to instructional recommendations. Banners are not easily obtained unless you have a relationship with either Wilson or Nike or have a program that is endorsed or sponsored by them. This is to protect the reputation of the companies from appearing to endorse things that they do not endorse. You cannot buy a banner from either company.

Instructions

Talk to the local United States Tennis Association teaching pro located at the court. See if he has a sponsorship with either Nike or Wilson. If he does, he can contact his sales representative and request a banner for the court.

Run a tournament and request a sponsorship from Nike or Wilson. They do many small events as well, but this is not a surefire method of getting a banner. They receive a lot of requests daily, so be realistic about what you want. You may be able to get a ball endorsement from Wilson for the tournament or a hat endorsement from Nike for the players. Contact the sales department at the companies and explain how large your tournament is and what you want. Be prepared to send them an official proposal as to how the endorsement will benefit each company.

Collaborate with grass-roots programs such as The Boys & Girls Club. Both Nike and Wilson have charity departments and organizations they are already endorsing. Creating a local program that supports these nationally recognized programs will increase your chances of obtaining a banner from for the event, camp or after-school program. Once you have formed the program, contact the charitable events department at both Nike and Wilson to try to obtain a banner.
