How to Get a Sponsorship From Drum Corps International

Drum Corps International, which often goes by the shorthand DCI, calls itself a "Marching Music's Major League." It is a nonprofit group that hosts and sponsors many different events across North America, highlighting the talent of various marching bands. DCI helps to put on and sponsors live events, and is involved with the nationally televised marching band competitions that take place in different parts of North America.

      Contact the DCI Director of Events about having a marching band event sponsored by DCI, which will entail having your event included in the following year's DCI tour. Email Sue Kuehnhold at suek@dci.org, at the time of this publication.

      Ensure your email includes information on the size, location and date of your marching band event, as well as any institutions or organizations with which your event or individual marching band is associated. Detail the history of your event for background information. Include previous attendance numbers.

      Attach copies of any media coverage such as pictures, articles and video that helps to showcase why DCI should consider sponsoring your marching band event.

      Ask if the DCI would like any additional information about your marching band or your planned event.
