Mail spoofing is a tactic commonly used by spammers. If your email has been spoofed, it usually means that a spammer has created an email account that looks identical to yours and is using it to send messages. 1
Decide on an email password that is hard to guess. If someone happens to access your email, log into your account and immediately create a new password.
-
2
Check your email frequently and look at your "Sent" option to make sure your email is not being used for mail spoofing. If you see something odd, create a new password and contact your email provider.

3
Contact your email provider if your email address has been spoofed. Your email provider will most likely lock your email account if the spoofer has created a new password.
