      Express interest in coaching tee ball to your local Little League. Ask them about opportunities in coaching available for the upcoming season. Even if no head positions are available, there may be opportunities to be assistant coach.

      Talk to parents of children who are signed up to play tee ball that year. Show them that you are somebody who they can trust and ask if there is a full coaching staff already lined up for their tee ball team.

      Be patient. Remember that you are working with young children and that coaching tee ball will at times resemble running a day care. The most important things the children will learn over the course of the season will be discipline and team work.

      Give all the children an equal chance. Even at that age, it will be clear that some children are much better than others. Rotate positions and give no preference to any players despite of their ability.
