How to Select Jerseys for a Little League Team
Instructions
-
Decide on Design
-
1
Discuss the issue with a handful of the team's parents and the coaches. You will need to agree on a price range. Initial opinions on aesthetics might be discussed as well.
-
2
Ask the players what kinds of jerseys they would like to have. Players will be likely to want the jerseys to resemble professional baseball jerseys as much as possible. Your budget will probably not cover button-up jerseys.
-
3
Decide whether your team will be named after a professional baseball team or if the team will make up their own name. Most likely, because of money and time, you will be using pre-made template, so the jerseys will be of a professional team.
-
4
Select what pro team the team would like to be. You can have a vote with the players or pick your favorite team. Make sure it isn't already taken in the league.
Order the Jerseys
-
5
Find a sponsor. Approach one of the team parents or a local business and ask if they would like to sponsor your Little League team. An advertisement on the jersey is optional. A sponsor would increase your jersey budget.
-
6
Consult local sporting goods stores. The bigger stores will probably not offer team outfitting services, but private shops might. Compare prices and select the place best for you.
-
7
Use the Internet to order jerseys. The Little League website has many links to affiliate sporting goods stores. See the Resources section below for a link. Or select a website on your own. The options online will be endless.
-
8
Order everything in bulk for a good price. Make sure you get more than you need and all the kids receive jerseys that fit. Keep in mind that these jerseys might be handed down to the players of next year's team.
