1
Place the snowboard bindings on a flat table. Insert the snowboard boots inside the bindings. Secure the boots into the bindings. Inspect the boots to confirm the bindings are the right size. Apply pressure to the toe and heel of the boots. Look for shifting under pressure, which can indicate the bindings are too large.

2
Place the snowboard on top of the table. Inspect the board for a series of holes near the nose of the board and tail end. These are the mounting screw holes. Hole patterns vary based on the brand of your snowboard, and you can sometimes request a particular pattern when you purchase your board.
-
3
Decide whether you prefer a regular riding stance or a goofy stance. With a regular riding stance, your left foot is placed at the nose of the board and your right foot is placed at the tail so you are facing right. A goofy stance is opposite, with your right foot forward so you are facing left.
-
4
Align a binding with the mounting screw holes at the nose of the board, matching the direction of your riding stance. So if you are more comfortable with a regular riding stance, place the left foot binding at the nose of the board.

5
Screw in the center mounting screws, using a screwdriver. Mounting the center disc first will allow you to adjust the stance angles of the bindings. The stance angle refers to the angle your body makes with the board. For instance, when your toes are angled toward the tip of the board, this is called a positive angle.
-
6
Inspect the bottom of the binding. Look for a marker and angle scale. These tools will help you set the stance angle and width. Adjust the binding to meet a stance angle that suits you riding style. Place a boot into the binding and slide the binding in both directions. Center the boot and binding in the center of the board. Remove the boot after you have centered the binding.
-
7
Screw in the remaining mounting screws, using a screwdriver. Tighten the screws as hard as you can to prevent them from loosening while you are snowboarding. Repeat this procedure to mount the other binding to the tail end of the board.
